With the growing anti-Semitism in the West it seems that the phrase “never again,” has become more of a thoughtless utterance than a solemn promise. The phrase refers, of course, to the Holocaust, in which, over six million Jews were mercilessly murdered by Adolph Hitler, a Muslim sympathizer. One would think that the decision to stand with Israel would be a “no-brainer” when shouts of hatred against the Jews are echoed throughout the Muslim world and the Hamas charter calls for the elimination of Israel. It would seem starkly self-evident to any sane person that, when faced with a terrorist group that wants to “wipe Israel off the face of the map” that they should stand with Israel, the only free country in the Middle East.
It is appalling that anyone would stand with terrorists against Israel. Nevertheless, this new brand of anti-Semitism is spreading its ugly tentacles throughout the Middle East, Europe and now, sadly, even America. People need to realize that, when they stand with “Palestine” they stand with the terrorists that are backing the “Palestinian cause.” Palestine is not occupied by Israel. Israel was given the title deed to all the land in the area now referred to as “Palestine” by God thousands of years before the Muslim religion began in the 6th century A.D. Judaism and Christianity were firmly established in the region by that time.
It is sad that so many are deceived by satan’s plan at work in the terrorists to use women and children as human shields in order to gain support from the international community. No one is advocating war or the death of civilians of any kind. These people are simply sacrificed on the satanic altar of terrorists for the cause of plotting against Israel and painting her as the evil one. Israel is doing what any other sovereign nation would do when faced with countless missiles coming over its border. As far as a two state solution? I think we can see what happens when Israel attempts to make peace by giving land to the “Palestinians.” They used the supplies provided by the United Nations to build terror tunnels into Israel to kill and kidnap Israelis instead of building schools. How sad that a nation would waste its resources simply to attempt to accomplish its satanic goal of destroying the nation of Israel. This in itself should dispel any further talks against a “two state solution.”
If one cannot tell the difference between good and evil at this crucial time in history, we are in bigger trouble than we think. The prophet Isaiah said, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 6:20, NASB). Regarding Israel, God promised, “And I will bless those who bless you,And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed” (Genesis 12:3, NASB). If one argues that, “The Bible is some ancient, outdated book,” I would warn them, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). God is still on the throne. He is sovereign and His will shall be done.
If one doubts the Bible, they can hardly argue with the following mind-boggling facts listed in an amazing article titled, “12 Shocking Proofs That Disaster Strikes America When It Mistreats Israel.” The article correlates major events/disasters that have taken place in America directly following events when our government has taken a stand against Israel. We can shake our heads all day long and say, “Who cares about the Bible?” Read the above article and find out who cares! God cares! Worse than that, the most stanch warning by God is found in Zechariah 14:12: “And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.” (Zechariah 14:12) That sounds like nuclear war to me.
God, in His grace, has given us His word and His-story to show us that His word is true. Will we still thumb our noses at His word? Will we stand with Israel or terrorists? The future of Israel, America and the entire world hang in the balance. We know how the story ends. All nations will come against Israel. (Psalm 83) God will save His people regardless of where we live. Will we stand with God? Then we must stand with Israel, His beloved.
