What Will It Be America? The Constitution or Sharia Law? By Laurie Sterling

CAIR is at it again in their campaign to silence patriotic Americans, especially those who dare to speak out about the true intentions of Islamic groups like their own. The Council on American Islamic Relations has issued a list on their website, characterizing brave Americans exercising their First Amendment Rights as “Islamophobes.” The first three entries on the list include, “The Florida Family Association,” David Yerushalmi and Pamela Geller, along with the threat of “more coming soon.”

The CAIR annual banquet is scheduled to take place on September 28, 2013 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia. The Florida Family Association is requesting that Americans opposed to Sharia law send an email to Marriot officials expressing their concerns about this event. They have provided a link, which includes a pre-written email and contact information to make it easy to do so.

Americans who are afraid to let their voices be heard should keep in mind what groups like CAIR really stand for. One does not have to look far to find out the true intentions of the group’s leaders. Omar Ahmad, the founder and Chairman of CAIR stated,

“Those who stay in America should be open to society without melting, keeping Mosques open so anyone can come and learn about Islam. If you choose to live here, you have a responsibility to deliver the message of Islam … Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.”

The article points to an even more disturbing fact, which was originally reported in the Washington Times, showing that Ahmad encourages suicide bombers.

“At the Islamic Association of Palestine’s third annual convention in Chicago in November 1999, CAIR President Omar Ahmad gave a speech at a youth session praising suicide bombers who “kill themselves for Islam.” “Fighting for freedom, fighting for Islam — that is not suicide. They kill themselves for Islam, ” he said.

Nihad Awad, the Executive Director of CAIR has openly declared his support of the terrorist group, Hamas.

As groups like CAIR gain strongholds in America, the masks slowly come off and their true agenda is exposed. On March 1, 2012, PRN Newswire reported the following, “The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today released a community toolkit designed to assist those seeking to preserve America’s ideal of religious pluralism in the face of unconstitutional “anti-Sharia” bills that have been introduced in more than 20 states nationwide.

Apparently the “toolkit” has worked in Oklahoma in stopping anti-Sharia legislation.

The article from the Florida Family Council points out the irony of the fact that CAIR is planning to present a college scholarship at the banquet named after Rosa Parks. An important link is provided to show that Islamic Sharia law has nothing in common with women’s rights or the American civil rights that Parks stood for. Further, there is absolutely no mention of the words “Muslim” or “Islam” in the Parks biography.
America, it is time to wake up and realize that Islam does not intend to assimilate into our society but intends to change our laws and our very way of life. Are we going to sit quietly back as sharia law slowly but steadily creeps into our society, depriving our families of our inalienable rights under the United States Constitution? Will we throw away the sacrifices of our brave men and women who have fought and died for our rights, only to succumb to Islamic, sharia law?

As Americans, we are required to uphold the laws laid out in the United States Constitution. Will we do our part, or will we allow ourselves to be intimidated by groups like CAIR? I fully expect that after releasing this article, my name will be on that list. I stand boldly and fearlessly for freedom. How about you?
